Want to know when every Tour de France stage is on, even need to plan daily life around them for the next month? Here’s the calendar to view or download to your phone.
Total Sponsorship with Ineos
TotalEnergies will join Ineos as a co-sponsor, with the French oil major appearing on the jersey in time for the Tour de France next week.
There’s no news from the team on this yet but it is on the Total corporate website. The size of the logo should tell us something about the size of ambitions.
World Tour Relegation
Oscar Onley’s great week in the Tour de Suisse has given Picnic-PostNL plenty of points; but so did Alexis Renard’s second place in the Copenhagen Sprint World Tour one day race as both teams jostle to avoid relegation.
It’s too close to call and sets up a tense Tour de France. The high pressure event of the year will be even more stressful for some team managers, including those at Intermarché-Wanty as the team slips down the rankings.
Tour de France Guide
The Tour de France guide with all the stage profiles one one page, plus the race rules, points scales, time cuts and more is now online at inrng.com/tour.
Which One Cycling?
Were you looking forward to the end of season Saudi races next year? They won’t happen now after the UCI has rejected One Cycling’s proposed calendar of events.
In a press release cycling’s governing body said One Cycling was “incompatible with the governance and regulatory framework of the UCI as well as lacking sporting coherence” which is a polite way of saying something quite rude. UCI President David Lappartient went further in quotes from to news agency AFP too.
Critérium du Dauphiné Stage 8 Preview
The final stage and almost a summit finish. In the past this has been the most frantic stage of the week. Pogačar looks invincible but it’s wide open to win the stage.
Critérium du Dauphiné Stage 7 Preview
The big day in the Dauphiné. Can anyone turn the tables on Tadej Pogačar and his team?
If you’ve been tuning all week so far, note today’s finish is an hour earlier than usual.
Critérium du Dauphiné Stage 6 Preview
The Dauphiné goes into the Alps but this is a taster before the weekend, some sharp punchy climbs rather than long mountain passes.
Critérium du Dauphiné Stage 5 Preview
Sprint or breakaway? Today’s stage has the least amount of vertical gain outside the time trial but it’s the last chance for everyone before the Alps tomorrow.
Critérium du Dauphiné Stage 4 Preview
Every day is a GC stage in the Dauphiné but today is a real fitness test, we’ll get a close-up look at the form of Evenepoel, Pogačar and Vingegaard.
