2017 World Tour Calendar Analysis
The 2017 calendar is out and the UCI has added more races to the World Tour with 10 events making up a total of 28 extra racing days on the prime calendar. In the coming days we’ll learn more about the qualitative aspect of the calendar with talk of the new events being treated as second grade additions but for now let’s look at the new calendar on a quantitative basis, how its numbers stack up.

Milan-Sanremo is this Saturday and hopefully you’ve got it as a date in your diary. Only some loyal readers may not because when this site put the 2016 pro cycling calendar online last October Milan-Sanremo was left off by mistake. Subscribers need not worry but if you downloaded the file it’s worth getting the updated version below as it’s got La Primavera and several other changes.

When Does The Season Start?
It’s hard to know where to look this week with racing on so many fronts. Almost all the stars of the pro peloton will be visible this week whether in Oman, Andalucia or the Algarve plus more racing in Italy and France too.
