Supporter Kit

A timely reminder that you can get supporter t-shirts, socks, jerseys… and the as-seen-on-TV supporter caps. You get yourself some new kit and help keep the wheels turning here.

It’s always nice to see the kit in the wild especially amid the action on the Kemmelberg last weekend. It seems there might have been more than one cap on the Kemelberg too…

Nice to see someone getting it right too, cheering the riders on and getting some photos but enjoying the action with their eyes rather than through a screen.

Still I’m not sure if anything can top the sight of the jersey at the top of Khardung La, in India’s Ladakgh region and said to be the highest paved road in the world. See for yourself in Living dangerously: An outsider’s perspective on cycling in India, a feature over at cyclingtips by James Bennett (it’s the final photo).

The sales revenue is split between Prendas and this site and the income helps keep this website’s wheels turning, literally so in terms of recon rides when it helps cover transport to the area of some key stages. As well as that there’s the hosting costs, bandwidth and more… and repairs after finishing a recent recon ride for a Giro stage, freewheeling back to my parked car to find a someone crouched down by the driver-side door trying to drill out the lock bolt. Fortunately they’d just started.

FAQ
I’m concious that people who have bought kit already may not want any more but the first thing to say here is thank-you. People sometimes ask “why don’t you open a Paypal/Patreon account” but for now the kit sales and the income generated are perfect, this blog is not a money-making venture and were to become one then it’d become a job and the fun would be sucked out of it faster than you can say “work”.

Have a browse over at Prendas and the special offer prices:

And if you have any questions about the sizing or delivery ask Prendas’s Andy who knows everything there is to know about clothing and logistics

  1. Great looking kit INRNG(puts many to shame) and from top guys at Prendas whose service is, from experience, second to none. I know what you mean about work, I could watch it all day!

  2. Haha, I passed that guy on the Kemmel last sunday. Same guy on both pictures. The Kemmelberg is the perfect place to experience a cobbled classic. 8 times a peloton passes (4 categories) in seven hours time on the most important place in the race, big screen, food and beer trucks on the top of the climb. Brilliant.

  3. I do this every year, order gift items to thank friends and to thank Inner Ring for a superb column, Someon else gets a gift, and I feel better. What could be more perfect?

    • Yes, I went for the “said to be the highest” because there’s a corner of the internet busy debating what is paved and what isn’t and what is a mountain pass and what is not etc. From the looks of things even calling Khardung La paved is generous. If someone wants to ride to the top of the definitive highest road and send a pic in with some supporter kit… make my day.

  4. Haha! That is brilliant! Now to stock up on more caps and get myself to some races. Now that Hinault has given up podium duties at the TdF who’s going to run on to give the yellow jersey wearer an Inrng cap?!

  5. Loving ‘Mr Cap’ in that photo, but the lad’s face front centre is just priceless. Just shows how special it is that we spectators can get so close to the riders.

  6. Just ordered a cap and tee shirt. Do I really need them? No but they look great and I wanted to support this excellent website. Thank very much for what you do Mr Inrng.

  7. Get someone with Photoshop skills to add some more caps on all spectators at the tour, surely better than all those Skoda flappy hats.

Meanwhile I’ll be getting another T shirt.

  8. Love the kit! I want to throw out a mention for the arm warmers, RIP, which I think are no longer offered but are awesome. If there are any new items coming to replenish depleted stock or discontinued lines, how about a gilet? A zip-hoodie would also be awesome for casual wear. Thank you inrng!

  9. Just bought my second jersey! I chatted to a cyclist last week in Greenwich foot tunnel wearing the socks and we pondered the question ‘who is INRNG’… It’s great meeting people in the kit, I feel as if I know them. Thanks for such a great blog.

  10. Yep, time to reup and order some more.

Keep up the wonderful statesmanship that is your bog

I would like to suggest a new jersey color option! Reverse the current kit with (white with black accents)

  11. Got t shirt for the first time to go with the other things. As ever it arrived via prendas so quickly it was almost spooky. Nice looking t shirt, thanks a lot. The coolmax material is great too. Keep up the great blog. Agree it’s always a pleasure meeting other inrng readers out and about.

  12. Ha, couldn’t help but notice the INRNG cap on TV the other day. I didn’t even know about the t-shirts until now so I’ve just placed an order. Thanks for all the hard work!
