Team Luxembourg sponsor rumours

The well-informed cyclismactu.net has more detail on the future of the Luxembourg cycling project being created by the Schleck brothers in conjunction with Kim Andersen and Brian Nygaard.

Riders
The team expects to have a roster of 25 riders. 20 have been signed so far, with the remaining riders expected to sign soon. Dominik Klemme, Jens Voigt, Jakob Fuglsang (Saxo Bank), Daniele Bennati (Liquigas), Joost Posthuma and Tom Stamsnijder (Rabobank), Brice Feillu (Vacansoleil) and Robert Wagner (Skil-Shimano) are public knowledge so far. Then come those linked by rumour, notably Maxime Monfort (HTC-Columbia), Fabian Cancellara (Saxo Bank), Linus Gerdemann (Milram), Fabian Wegmann (Milram) and Wouter Weylandt (Quick Step).

Sponsors
It’s public knowledge already that Trek will be providing the bikes, along with Shimano. Mercedes will provide the team cars. The salaries of the Schleck brothers are being personally covered by Luxembourg real estate businessman Flavio Becca who has been linked to the team for some time. The team will literally be “Team Luxembourg” as reports suggest the country itself will make a contribution to the team’s budget. In addition, it is expected that a Russian mobile phone network will back the team. A curious choice.

Update
If all this remains uncertain, a press conference is due soon where all will be unveiled.
