With just over two weeks to go here’s a downloadable calendar of the Tour de France for your electronic diary or smartphone with brief details of each day’s stage.
This format proves very popular, perhaps there’s a big demand to schedule work and social life around the crucial stages? With this in mind each stage has a star rating, a subjective take on the stage’s importance to the race whether drama or likely importance for the overall classification. If you really want to clear the diary note Stages 1, 2, 3, 9, 12, 19, 20 and 21 will be broadcast on TV live from start to finish.
If you’re familiar with ical files, here’s the URL for the ics file:
Save the ics / iCal / iCalendar file and you can import it into your electronic diary. One or two clicks and it’s on your iPhone / Outlook etc. Alternatively if you use Google then see calendar below and the +Google Calendar link on the bottom-right. Note this method can work with Android phones when the iCal file might not.
If you want more help on how to make use of this, see the inrng.com/calendar page which has the calendar for the main men’s and women’s races for 2015 and and the explainer to put a calendar into Outloook, an iPhone, your diary etc.
Thanks again for putting this together – so handy to have this on my phone!
Love the first pic, thanks for the calendar!
Yep echo comments above, great top photo and thank you for the calendar. Whilst I’ll try to catch up with all stages, having a nod in advance to the key ones and the live TV is very helpful
Great, very handy thanks.
Quick aside – 2015 rule book states:
ARTICLE 26 Bonuses
Time bonuses are awarded at all of road stage
finishes that is to say with the exception of the
individual and team time trial stages.
They are 10, 6 and 4 seconds to the first three
riders to finish.
Tour website says:
Seconds up for grabs
They had disappeared since 2008. Bonus seconds will again be awarded at the finishes of the 2nd to the 8th stage. The bonuses will be of 10, 6 and 4 seconds for the first three of each of these stages.
Which is right? Take it the rule book is the more trusted source but…
All stages I think, the plan was for the first week only but this has changed, looks like they just haven’t updated the website.
Ah great, thanks for clarifying, makes more sense that way.
Thanks for the .ics! Great to have.
