You can now download a calendar of all the major pro races for 2012, both men’s and women’s competitions.
This is no collection of stripped down women nor scenic images, instead just a functional Google calendar and ICS/iCal file. One or two clicks and it’s on your iPhone / Outlook etc calendar.
All UCI races rated 1.1 and 2.1 and higher are included, from the Tour Down Under in January to the Chrono des Nations in October and with everything from the Tour France, the big classics and stage races, right down to more modest events like the Szlakiem Grodòw Piastowskich and the Tour of Beijing. If you want more on the ratings, like 1.1, 2.WT the see the dedicated 2012 calendar page.
If you use Google calendar then click below:
Alternatively if you want the ICS/iCal file to download and then import into your device, it is here:

The calendar was inspired by others. Last year the Pavé blog produced a calendar to download and I found this very useful. Then a few days ago I put dates of the World Tour races online and an ingenious reader turned these into a downloadable calendar. And now a contributor has helped gather more dates to create the full calendar. Thanks.
Tech advice: with the ics file, depending on the computer or device you have you can either click on the link and it’ll open in your device’s calendar or you should right-click / Control-click on the link to save the file to your machine and you then then import it to your diary in Outlook, Lotus etc.
Like the way you say: “more modest events like […] Tour of Beijing” 😀
this is awesome, many thanks!
Thanks! I used to make it myself but this is great 🙂
Great work.
Now I can work out which days I’m going to be too sick to go to work.
Thanks for taking this to the next level. The work of a few benefits all. Well done!
Great, thanks!
Fantastic!
Chapeau and well done for including the women’s calendar.
Glad to see it is proving popular, I found Pavé’s calendar useful last year and wanted to try something similar.
Thank you!
A great idea, thanks. So many races to look forward to.
Many thanks to gfurry and all others that have helped to create this. All geared up to follow the season. I apologise in advance if I ask any silly questions on here as the season progresses.
Hello. Thank you so much for doing this. I’ve subscribed to an iCal calendar for a couple of years but this is great. I also wanted to say that I read all your blog entries (via RSS) and I hardly ever comment. I feel like a bit of leech. It is by far the best cycling resource on the web in my opinion. Thank you for all your hard work.
Very useful, thanks!
But there must be a mistake with the Tour de Romandie which should take place between April, 24th and April, 29th.
Matthieu: well spotted, I’ve fixed this.
Just a tip for Mac users (not sure if/how it works for other OSs but you can probably do something similar).
If you use ⌘⎇S (cmd+alt+s) or go to the Calendar menu and select Subscribe… whilst iCal.app is open you can just paste in the http://inrng.com/medias/inrngRaceCalendar.ics URL in to the dialogue box and it will subscribe to the calendar without you having to download, install and keep it on your machine.
It would also mean that any changes INRNG makes to the .ics file would automatically show up in iCal.app which is far easier than having to delete and re-install the .ics file every time it is updated – even to the point of adding following years events (in fact the calendar would be perpetual if it is kept up to date).
PS Thanks to INRNG and the others for the hard work!
Many thanks to inrng and all involved for this, it’s much appreciated.
I tried to put the ics file on my outlook, but only the tour of romandie appeared. Could this be something to do with your recent update of it Inrng?
oo noo, I got it sorted, they’re all in, no problems 🙂
No Asian races??
Nick: yes, see the Tour of Quinghai Lake, Tour of China, Chongmin Island and more. Any race with a UCI rank of *.1 or higher (World Tour, HC and Level 1 one day and stage races) is included.
Cool 🙂
fantastic, thank you very much!
Thank you Igam Ogam, thank you Inrng, thank you Steve Jobs RiP.
Langkawi??
Nick: fixed, thanks for spotting that. A 100 Swiss Franc fine for my contributor who left that out.
As Igam Ogam says above it should go through automatically but you can reload the latest version from time to time. Use the “2012 CALENDAR” link at the top of the page.
great, thanks much indeed.
Ok, I cant get this into outlook am I missing something?
