Mark Cavendish isn’t the peloton’s only keen student of history. The British rider seemingly has an interest in European warfare from the middle ages. But Team Luxembourg’s new signing Brice Feillu’s is also partial to re-enacting scenes of ancient combat. Watch as he carefully depicts a gladiatorial battle from days of yore with French duathlete Toumy Degham:
The bunch’s historical society might also include Carlos Barredo who could have been trying to recreate Feillu’s wheel-for-a-shield style in this summer’s Tour de France.
Thanks. It's nice to see some guys have a sense of humour.
Weird. Just weird.
Another reason why I read your blog every day because it has serious items as well as stranger things like this.
Thanks for the comments. If you like the video, search Romain Feillu on youtube, there's plenty of wacky stuff by his friend Nico Loth. Even if you don't get the French, you will find the images are bizarre.
