Supporter Caps

INRNG cap
The supporter caps are back in stock and now available in black or white and in two sizes.

To get your hands on one visit the prendas.co.uk shop.

What you see is what you get, these are cotton caps made in Italy and for sale with British shop Prendas Ciclismo. The price is £7.50 (about $12 / €10) plus postage which depends on the destination.

They’re long term supporters and friends of the site. As part of their business they get caps made in Italy and offered to help produce an Inner Ring one. They’ve also got the e-commerce worked out from payments to postage. This is the second batch after the first lot sold out within hours.

Cap in hand donation
If you’re not a collector of caps buying one (or more) will still help keep this site on the road as the sales revenue is split between Prendas and me. A big thanks to everyone who has bought one already, it turns the typing into something more real.

  1. Super thanks for the blog. I ordered a white cap just to help support the incredible daily information. This blog stands above nearly all others!

  2. The regular size is too small for me as well and Prendas didn´t want to swap them so I am giving them away for free (2 black ones, one new and one used on 2 rides). You can pick them up in Berlin, Germany or I´ll send them as long as you pay the postage. Write to team(at)berlin-grunewald.com.

As I have previously explained to you via email, then twitter and now via this blog.

We cannot exchange ANY item that has been used. Additionally the items you refer to are 3 months old and outside of our returns window.

I am sorry that you feel so aggrieved that you have to go to such length to bad mouth us, perhaps you are just having a bad day!

Anyway, for others would have not used us before and are unsure of our approach to customer service, take a look at this independent testimonials website that email every customer after their purchase.

      • Woah, easy there, didn’t read to me like he was bad mouthing Prendas.

Just said that you didn’t want to exhange them (you don’t!) and that he is willing to give them to a happy home. Comments round here are pretty nice and friendly on the whole, no need to get defensive (though I understand it’s your business).

      • I couldnt use them and didn´t want to throw them away – thats all. Your return policy and position seems a bit strange to me considering that the regular size is too small for so many people.

My caps are now already on the way to another reader – end of story for me.

  3. Mine has just arrived in the mail. (Missed the first batch as was away on holiday climbing a little hill near Bedoin).
    Thank you inrng and Prendas.

  4. I love this idea and have been waiting for the large to come out and they’ve already sold out within a day so I’ve missed out. Of course on the one hand that’s great as the cash will help keep this great blog going, on the other I was looking forward to the cap to wear on these autumnal UK days.

  5. Ordered, normal size black is still showing in stock. This is the best cycling blog bar none, and I am proud to wear something that identifies me as a reader.

  6. My head usually fits into caps ok so hopefully the regular will be fine. Can’t wait to get home and try it on. Prendas excellent as always. I’d prefer inrng bidons to jerseys though, keep it subtle.

  7. Thanks for making a large one, but why such small batches!? I missed my chance again… Shouldn’t have the success of the first batch warranted the making of another larger one? How long till the next one?

    • Hi Oliver

I’m sorry you missed out, however the way we released the stock availability was very fair.

We emailed *everybody* who signed up for the stock notification first. We even sent this email off in the middle of (our) night as many of the readers of the blog in AUS and NZ missed out first time.

We then announced the arrival on Twitter 24 hours later. Then INRNG wrote a short blog about the arrival a bit later on.

We have NEVER sold a “Large” size cap – so we had no real idea of the number we should have ordered. So we thought of what we considered to be reasonable and then doubled it!

We will re-order the larger size, and if you wish you can sign up for a stock notification email on our website so that you can be of the first to hear of the newer, bigger delivery.

I hope that helps explain it all.

      • Thanks Andy! I will put myself on the waiting list (again).
I know you did all that you mention above in a fair fashion, the quibble is about the size of the order — I don’t have the time — alas — to drop what I am doing to order a cap most days at work, though sometimes I do…
I guess the question is when will the new batch be available?
I pledge to buy two (2) large one if I can next time! Thanks again Andy,
        Oliver

  8. Mine arrived today having been ordered yesterday morning. Cracking service, fits just lovely and looks the part, but most importantly an easy way to say thank you for what is my first port of call for all my cycling news and opinion. Keep up the good work (and thanks Prendas for the cap!).

  9. Third time a charm…missed 2 prior runs but got an order in this time for regular white. About $16 total for cap + shipping to US for reference. Looking forward to getting it. Thanks inrng and thanks Prenda.

  10. Got mine in the post today, fits perfect, love it!

Will order black next time as I missed out as well, white is very nice though.

Kudos to Prendas too, very fast postage and excellent quality.

  11. Cheers INRNG & Prendas, just arrived today and look great.
Anyone else found the black is just that little bit smaller than the white one? Or is it all in my head?

  12. Just ordered mine and looking forward to it …….. a quick moan though (as i am English) I had a torrid time on the website when choosing to pay by paypal, at first i thought it was because i am using an iphone but then i used the PC (old firefox browser) and it was still torrid the pages didnt render properly and the form was difficult in its workflow, just a heads up to Prendas who i have used many times before and love the kit so i totally come in peace on the criticism
