RCS have put out updated stage info and more on the Giro website. Just as there’s a season-long calendar of all the major men’s and women’s races to download, here’s the stage by stage Giro ical for your phone or electronic diary.
With the cobbled classics done and the Giro del Trentino marking the warm-up to Giro the grande partenza in Belfast is just over two weeks away with the start on Friday 9 May. This year’s edition could be a Spanish-speaking contest between Joaquim Rodriguez and Nairo Quintana but the field looks open and unpredictable.
The calendar file proved surprisingly popular last year. It has each stage listed along with the distance and also the rating. The Giro awards stars to each stage to indicate the difficulty or importance, from one to five stars for the biggest days.
Save the ics / iCal / iCalendar file and you can import it into your electronic diary. One or two clicks and it’s on your iPhone / Outlook etc. Alternatively you can use the Google calendar below.
Just use +Google Calendar option via the link on the bottom-right of the calendar. Note this method works with Android phones when the iCal file might not.
Remember a similar calendar exists for all the main pro races for men and women and can be found at inrng.com/calendar.
